FAQ
To choose the correct EverFilter size, start by checking the size printed on your current disposable filter. This is your system’s nominal size. Our reusable aluminum frames follow the same sizing convention but are manufactured with a built-in 1/4 inch deduction to ensure a proper fit.
How to Measure Your Filter Slot
-
Remove your existing filter.
-
Measure the length and width of the opening.
-
Measure the depth (usually 1 inch).
-
Round your measurements up to the nearest whole inch. This is your nominal size.
Example:
A nominal 20x20x1 filter will fit an opening that measures roughly 19 3/4 x 19 3/4 x 3/4 inches, which is the actual size of our EverFilter frame. If you’re unsure between two sizes, send us a photo or measurement and we’ll confirm the correct fit.
-
Most homes replace every 1 to 2 months. Homes with pets or construction dust may change more often.
The EverFilter aluminum frame is fully reusable, but the standard MERV-rated media pads are not washable. These disposable pads are designed for maximum airflow and filtration efficiency and should be replaced every 1–2 months depending on dust load and system runtime.
If you prefer a washable option, we offer two reusable media choices:
1. Washable Synthetic Hogs Hair Media
A durable, high-airflow synthetic fiber pad that can be rinsed, cleaned, and reused.
2. Washable Electrostatic Media
A high-efficiency electrostatic filter material that traps dust using static charge. It must be washed routinely and allowed to fully dry.
Both washable media styles should be cleaned every 30 days and thoroughly dried before reinstallation to prevent moisture buildup inside the HVAC system.
Yes. Our low-profile design fits standard filter bays. For tight tolerances, choose a custom size for a perfect fit.
Yes. The standard EverFilter aluminum frame comes with a lifetime warranty that covers defects and damages that occur under normal, everyday use. If your frame is bent, damaged, or defective in any way, we will repair or replace it at no cost.
Electrostatic Washable Frames
Electrostatic reusable frames are not covered by a lifetime warranty, because their washable media is designed to last 24–36 months with proper care (and may wear out sooner if not maintained correctly).
These products include a 60-day full warranty that covers manufacturing defects, damage during shipping, or issues affecting normal function.Media Warranty
Filter media pads, including standard MERV pads, synthetic washable media, and electrostatic media, do not carry a warranty. Lifespan will vary based on environment, dust load, and maintenance routines.
Follow these steps to keep your EverFilter performing at its best:
1. Remove the Filter
Turn off your HVAC system. Slide the reusable frame out of the return grille or air handler slot.
2. Replace or Clean the Media
-
Standard pads: Replace with a new EverFilter media pad every 1–2 months.
-
Washable media:
-
Rinse with warm water or a mild detergent.
-
Gently scrub if needed to remove debris.
-
Rinse thoroughly until clear.
-
Allow to air dry completely before reinstalling.
-
3. Clean the Aluminum Frame
Wipe the frame with a damp cloth to remove dust or buildup. The aerospace-grade aluminum is corrosion-resistant and lasts a lifetime.
4. Reinstall the Filter
Insert the EverFilter back into the filter slot with airflow arrows pointing toward the unit. Turn the system back on.
5. Keep a Maintenance Routine
-
Replace standard pads monthly or bi-monthly.
-
Wash reusable media every 30 days.
-
Inspect your filter at each cleaning to ensure proper fit and airflow.
